Legacy Riding Stable's Volunteer Program

     Many hands makes the hard work light - that is what our volunteers prove time and time again. Since opening in 2012 Legacy Riding Stables has appreciated the help of both our youth and adult volunteers. Volunteers help with everything here at Legacy. Volunteers are an important and valued part of the Legacy Family. Our volunteers work hard helping with farm chores from cleaning horses and cleaning up after horses to pampering our retired horses and helping on trail rides. It is our hope that volunteering with Legacy will improve your horsemanship and riding skills and offer a second family and a home away from home.

      Volunteer opportunities are available for adults and teens 13 and older. Horse experience is valued but not necessary as we are happy to teach you. We will gladly sign off on volunteer hours required for school and write recommendations for jobs or college.

Required for volunteering:

     - a great work ethic (or the desire to cultivate one)

     - a pair of boots (non-steel toed)

     - a labeled water bottle

     - weather appropriate clothing that can get dirty

     -A's and B's in core classes for high school volunteers (if you have time to volunteer you have time for homework)
